The Nome Kennel Club has a race scheduled to take place this Saturday, January 16th at 12pm at the City of Nome Snow Dump. This will be a 20-mile race, with 12 dogs maximum and five dogs minimum per team. Mushers must be NKC members to participate and have proof of each dog's current rabies and 5-way vaccinations.
If you are interested in entering the race, please email nomekennelclub@gmail.com. There will be a Zoom musher's meeting on Friday night at 7pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know. We will need race judges, a timekeeper, and snow machine support. Spectators must remain in their vehicles as per approved COVID-19 precautions.
